Cameroon expands National Security CCTV contract with Huawei

Cameroon's national security forces have awarded a contract for the supply of CCTV and surveillance equipment to Huawei Technologies, reports Agence Ecofin. The contract expands a pilot installation in several provincial capitals, which Huawei has been managing since 2014. More locations of strategic importance will see the deployment of 1,500 new security cameras and the country's security forces will be supplied with portable two-way radio equipment fitted with cameras. As part of the contract, Huawei will also create nine control rooms and will set up a communications system to manage
