Cameroon makes progress on number porting

The three main networks operating in Cameroon, MTN, Orange and Nexttel, have officially launched GIE-PMC, the economic interest group which will manage number portability in the country, reports Agence Ecofin. Within this group, the three operators will work in line with a common regulatory framework to facilitate a smooth migration for customers. The CEO of Nexttel Cameroon, Nguyen Duc Quang, will head GIE-PMC during its first two years of operation.
