CamTel starts working on Cameroon-Brazil cable project

Cameroon Telecommunications (Camtel) has started conducting exploration work in the coastal location around Kribi in partnership with Huawei, reports Agence Ecofin, as part of the Cameroon-Brazil cable project announced in October 2015. This initial phase of the project aims to determine the best route for the undersea cable (known as South Atlantic Inter Link or SAIL), which will run from Kribi to a landing station in Fortaleza, Brazil.
