Canal Plus acquires rights from TF1 to FIFA women's World Cup for 2019

Friday 17 November 2017 | 14:01 CET | News
Canal Plus has reached an agreement with broadcaster TF1 on the acquisition of the French rights to the next football women's World Cup, which FIFA awarded to TF1 in January 2016. As part of the deal, TF1 keeps the right to distribute the best 25 games of the tournament as a free-to-air exclusive, including the matches played by the national team. Canal Plus will also show these 25 games on its pay-TV platform, alongside the rest of the competition.
