Canal Plus Overseas launches broadband, voice services

Canal Plus Overseas has launched the Canal Box modem in Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana and Reunion, to provide voice and internet service in combination with its satellite TV offer. Canal Plus is using the infrastructure of Mediaserv (Outremer Telecom), in which it bought a 51 percent stake last year. Existing Canal Plus TV customers pay EUR 35 a month for unlimited calls to fixed numbers in over 50 destinations and up to 20 Mbps internet service. New subscribers to triple play are offered three options costing EUR 69.90, EUR 79.90 and EUR 89.90 a month, depending on the number of
