Canal Plus selects Eutelsat's 7C satellite to launch DTH platform in Ethiopia

Eutelsat announced a multi-year contract for Ku capacity on its 7C satellite with Canal Plus to support a new DTH pay-TV service that the broadcaster will launch in Ethiopia at the beginning of 2021. Under the multi-transponder contract, the 7C satellite will carry around 50 premium channels in a mix of standard and high definition, alongside a selection of Ethiopian free-to-air content.
