Canal Plus set to launch sVOD service through SFR

Canal Plus has unveiled its Canal Play Infinity sVOD service, launching on 8 November through French operator SFR to fight for market share against international operators like Netflix, soon to be present on all platforms in France. Les Echos reports that subscribers will pay EUR 9.99 a month for a choice of 50 to 100 titles at any time. Feature films will have been released cinematically up to three years earlier. Series and made-for-TV programmes will be available after they have aired over free channels. The platform will retain exclusivity in France on Canal Plus productions such as
