Canal Plus signs distribution deal with Alsatis

French pay TV group Canal Plus has signed a distribution agreement with rural triple-play operator Alsatis in an effort to reach a new public at a time when some of its subscribers migrate to internet-based premium TV, reports La Tribune. Alsatis, which uses fixed, wireless (Wi-Fi, WiMax) and satellite technologies to offer up to 100 Mbps service, expects to turn over EUR 13 million with around 50 employees this year and the county of Isere has chosen the company to propose broadband to all of its inhabitants.
