Canal Plus to shut Jimmy, Cuisine Plus, Maison Plus - report

French pay TV group Canal Plus announced at a works council that it planned to shut three channels, Jimmy, Cuisine Plus and Maison Plus on 30 June 2015, Les Echos reports. These closures follow the disappearance of two other theme channels, TF1's Stylia and TF6, a 50/50 joint venture between TF1 and M6. The fate of another channel, Vivolta, is currently in the balance of ongoing negotiations between Orange and SFR. Vivolta is currently profitable, and will stay open under a different name if it judges its profit margin to be satisfactory, otherwise it will shut down. CanalSat no longer
