Cape Verde to roll out DTT in two stages

The Cape Verde government has decided that digital terrestrial television (DTT), scheduled to start by 17 June 2015, will be implemented in two phases, reports Noticia ao Minuto. According to the Minister of Media, Demis Lobo Almeida, the first phase will be functional in the course of 2015 and transmitters will be installed in Cidade da Praia and the islands of Santiago, Maio, Sao Vicente and Sal, covering 12 of the 22 municipalities of the country, or 65-70 percent of the population. During the second phase additional transmitters will be implemented in the remaining five inhabited islands
