Cavium to buy Xpliant for USD 90 million

Semiconductor products provider Cavium has announced a definitive agreement to buy privately held US switch silicon company Xpliant for approximately USD 90 million. Cavium was already an investor in Xpliant, having provided USD 15 million of funding through June, an amount included in the total cost estimate. The remaining USD 75 million will comprise approximately USD 40 million in cash and USD 35 million in shares.
