Celcom, Digi, Maxis explore joint fibre infrastructure deployment

Malaysian operators Celcom, Digi and Maxis have agreed to explore joint fibre infrastructure development on the local market. The partners aid to deploy fibre backhaul and rollout fibre to base stations in the country to upgrade 4G connectivity nationwide. The operators plan to explore leveraging each other's resources to deploy a wider fibre network. The agreement also supports future 5G deployment.
