Cell C H1 revenue increases 5% to ZAR 7.8 bln

South African operator Cell C increased its revenue by 5 percent year on year to ZAR 7.8 billion in the first half ended 30 June. The company reduced its net loss by 33 percent to ZAR 645 million from ZAR 968 million in the previous year, on the back of an 11 percent improvement in service revenue to ZAR 6.9 billion. Data revenue at Cell C was ZAR 3 billion, up 20 percent on a year ago on the back of a 62 percent increase in data traffic.
