South African operator Cell C has clocked speeds of up to 138Mbps on a live LTE Advanced site during a demonstration to partners, customers and journalists at broadband conference AfricaCom, taking place in South Africa. Cell C CEO Jose Dos Santos said these speeds were achieved on several different handsets. Huawei and Cell C demonstrated the high-speed experience on many different devices by showing live HD video streamed on its LTE-A trial site.
