Cell C moves to net profit of ZAR 148 mln in H1, revenues down 5%

Thursday 28 October 2021 | 16:27 CET | News
South African operator Cell C has reported a net profit of ZAR 148 million for the six months to June, improving from a ZAR 7.6 billion loss reported a year earlier. EBIT increased to ZAR 736 million compared to the ZAR 5.3 billion loss in the same period in 2020. This is mainly due to the significant impairment of network assets in the previous financial year and operational expenditure savings in this reporting period.
