Cell C says plans for share sale in 2020 on course as it mulls acquisitions

South African operator Cell C is planning a share sale in Johannesburg by the first quarter of 2020 as it seeks funds for acquisitions, reports Bloomberg. The exact timing of an initial public offering (IPO) will depend on market conditions, CEO Jose Dos Santos said. In the meantime, the operator is looking at potential fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) deals to boost its internet and data services businesses, he said.
