Wednesday 18 June 2014 | 10:54 CET | News
Liberian operator Cellcom has launched a 4G tower at the Cutting University campus. Prior to the deployment, the school had very limited access to GSM signals and poor or nonexistent access to mobile internet services. The new tower now provides the campus and surrounding communities access to Cellcom's voice service as well as Cellcom's 4G network, the Heritage reported. Cellcom has a 4G presence in seven counties, and the company said it plans to ensure that all 15 counties will be covered soon by its network.
