Central Bank of Nigeria brings in cap, extra security for USSD transactions

Monday 7 May 2018 | 07:27 CET | News
Nigerian bank transactions via Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) will be limited to NGN 100,000 per person daily from June, Vanguard reported. Customers will have to use both their PIN and a soft token to authenticate transactions above NGN 20,000, too. Banks must allow their customers to opt out of the USSD channel for financial transactions as well.
