CenturyLink, Infinera deliver 2.5 Tbps at Super Computing

Infinera and CenturyLink delivered 2.5 Tbps of super-channel transmission capacity to support the Scinet network at the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC16), held on 13-18 November, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The 2.5 Tbps of line-side capacity will connect the Salt Lake City Convention Center to CenturyLink's global fibre optic network, using the Infinera DTN-X Family. The multi-terabit deployment demonstrates CenturyLink's rapid provisioning of 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) services from the conference to CenturyLink's point of presence
