Chad fines mobile operators over poor service quality

Chad's telecommunications regulator, OTRT, has fined mobile operators Airtel, Tigo and Salam XAF 1.1 billion (approximately EUR 1.7 million) for failing to meet their QoS commitments. Agence Ecofin reports that the regulator ordered the operators to improve service quality at the conclusion of a study it commissioned.
