Champsaur submits broadband report to French government

The president of France's public statistics authority, Paul Champsaur, has submitted a report on the country's transition from copper to fibre networks to Emmanuel Macron, minister of the economy, industry and digital, and to Axelle Lemaire, state secretary for the digital economy. The French government's broadband rollout plan calls for every premise in the country to be eligible for superfast internet services by 2022 for an estimated investment of EUR 20 billion by the private and public sectors.
