Channel 4 invests in Whisper Films

UK broadcaster Channel 4 has acquired a minority stake in sports production company Whisper Films through its Growth Fund investment portfolio. Whisper Films was set up in 2010 by Sunil Patel, David Coulthard and Jake Humphrey. Following Channel 4's Growth Fund investment, Whisper Films will hire a new Head of Television and a small development team to develop the TV production arm of the business. Whisper Films has recently relocated from Ealing Studios to larger premises in Power Road Studios, Chiswick, London. Channel 4's GBP 20 million Growth Fund was launched in 2014 to support the UK
