Channel 4 wins 3-year Formula One rights deal

The UK's Channel 4 has signed a three-year terrestrial broadcasting rights agreement with Formula One World Championship, succeeding the BBC as the channel to carry the driving competition free-to-air. Channel 4 will broadcast ten races per season live in HD, including practice and qualifying sessions, as well as comprehensive highlights of all 21 races, including those airing live on pay channel Sky Sports F1. The live races will carry no advertising breaks.
