Channel Television acquired by Iliffe News & Media

Channel Television, independent commercial TV franchise serving the Channel Islands, has been acquired by Iliffe News & Media for around GBP20 mil in cash. The deal comes around 18 months after a GBP16.3 mil management buy-in at the company led by David Jenkins, finance director, and Huw Davies, chief executive, who both formerly worked for HTV, ITV franchise for the west of England and Wales. Channel Television's existing management will remain in place following the latest acquisition, although Lord Iliffe of Yattendon will be appointed chairman of Channel Television Holdings.
