Charter opens Spectrum WiFi hotspots due to Hurricane Dorian, Verizon's network performs well in midst of storm

Charter Communications opened more than 44,000 Spectrum WiFi hotspots in North and South Carolina in support of the response to Hurricane Dorian. Verizon also said its network continues to perform well in the midst of the storm and that its network performance remains at pre-storm levels in South Carolina and Virginia. Charter's hotspots are open to all users until further notice in coastal communities like Wilmington, N.C., and Myrtle Beach, S.C., as well as inland to the Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Fayetteville and Greensboro areas.
