Chile consults operators on ending Argentina roaming charges

Chilean telecommunications regulator Subtel has called on operators to submit their views on its plan to remove roaming charges between Chile and Argentina by the end of next year. The watchdog met with executives from Entel, Movistar (Telefonica) and Claro (America Movil) to set out its plans and asked for their opinions on the proposal by 12 June. Chile's telecommunications undersecretary Pamela Gidi met with Silvana Myriam Giudici, the newly-appointed president of Argentina's communications regulator Enacom, earlier this month to give the final go ahead for the elimination of international
