Chile delays analogue blackout until 2024

Chile's ministry of transport and telecommunications has launched an action plan to encourage FTA channels to migrate to digital terrestrial television (DTT) throughout the country, delaying the final analogue blackout from 2022 to April 2024. After several months of talks between FTA channels and telecom regulator Subtel, the parties agreed to a new plan with a number of specific deadlines. They include a requirement to ensure that 80 percent of the Chilean population including all provincial and regional capitals as well as Easter Island and Juan Fernandez Islands have access to DTT by
