Chile introduces compatibility labels for mobile devices

Chilean operators are now required to include labels on the packaging of mobile devices informing consumers of compatibility issues such as bands covered and operators supported. Starting 13 March, all boxes need to carry the labels with a view to helping customers decide whether their experience will be limited to certain frequencies and whether they'll be able to port their number to another operator if they acquire the device.
