Chile operators told to update contingency plans for new peak in data traffic

Chile's telecoms ministry has asked telecom operators to submit their contingency plans for dealing with an expected increase in network traffic. With more people spending the holidays apart, the sector regulator Subtel expects networks to see an around 60 percent rise in data traffic, due to increase videoconferencing and messaging.
