Chilean 4G subscriptions up 71% to nearly 11 mln in 2017

The number of 4G-LTE connections in Chile reached 10.8 million at the end of 2018, up 4.5 million or 71.2 percent compared to a year earlier, according to the latest report from telecom regulator Subtel. Total mobile connections including 3G rose 23.5 percent year on year to 16.3 million on 31 December 2017 and accounted for 84.2 percent of internet connections.
