Chilean court to hear WOM anti-trust complaint

Monday 12 March 2018 | 11:30 CET | News
The 10th civil court of Santiago has accepted the request for a preliminary ruling against Entel's allegedly anti-competitive practices lodged by Chilean operator WOM, reports Diario Financiero. The low-cost operator accused Entel of abusing its market dominance due its practice of offering WOM customers special discounts of up to 50 percent over 6 months to port their number to the operator compared to discounts of 10 percent for Claro and Movistar customers. Entel now has 5 days in which to submit evidence in the case.
