Chilean mobile data consumption up 105% year on year

Chilean mobile data traffic surged 105 percent between June 2017 and July 2018, according to the latest report from telecommunications regulator Subtel. A total of 1.04 exabytes of mobile data was consumed, equivalent to 189 million hours of 4K video, mostly due to video streaming via 17.4 million mobile accesses. The average amount of data consumed per mobile user came to 5GB a month.
