China cloud infra spend jumps 70% to record USD 4.3 bln in Q2 boosted by COVID-19 pandemic

Cloud infrastructure services spend in China reached a record USD 4.3 billion in the second quarter of this year, which represents a growth of 70 percent year-on-year. Growth was mainly boosted by COVID-19 response demand and government stimulus measures, according to a report from Canalys. The study also shows that China maintained its position as the world's second largest market accounting for 12.4 percent of global investment, up from 9.6 percent in the year-earlier period.
