China Mobile selects Ericsson for TD-LTE trial network

China Mobile has selected Ericsson to participate in TD-LTE trial network deployment. With the approval of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Ericsson will build a TD-LTE trial network in the city of Shenzhen. The approval by MIIT follows the completion of interoperability tests of Ericsson's TD-LTE network equipment with multiple chipset manufacturers. Ericsson is conducting interoperability tests with firms such as ST-Ericsson and Qualcomm. Ericsson will provide the TD-LTE system, which includes its multi-standard base station RBS 6000 and its EPC network,
