China reviews antitrust complaint against Apple in mobile app market - report

The Chinese State Administration for Industry and Commerce is reviewing an antitrust complaint accusing Apple of abusing its dominant position in smartphone applications, Bloomberg reports, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter. The review follows a complaint filed on behalf of developers. The Administration is expected to soon decide if a formal investigation is necessary, the same sources added. The review is preliminary and Chinese antitrust agencies usually review such information before deciding whether an official probe is necessary.
