China Telecom, Huawei trial network slicing technology

China Telecom Shanghai and Huawei have announced they have successfully applied their access network slicing service at a trial site. The service involves the slicing of the access network to connect home, enterprise, and campus, improving overall network utilization, new service provisioning rates, and network security, the companies said. The new service is designed to enable operators to use a single network to deliver all types of services.
