China's Q3 smartphone shipments fall 7.3% from Q2

Shipments of smartphones by Chinese manufacturers in Q3 fell 7.3 percent from the second quarter. Smartphone shipments of first-tier vendors, including Huawei, Lenovo, ZTE, and Coolpad, suffered a decline of over 20 percent sequentially, according to Digitimes Research. However, Huawei regained the number one smartphone exporter spot in China, accounting for 12 percent of China's total overseas smartphone shipments, followed by Lenovo at 11.6 percent.
