China's SAIC accepts JD.com request to investigate Alibaba

Chinese anti-trust watchdog, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) , has formally accepted the request by JD.com to investigate competitor Alibaba Group for possible unfair practices during promotions, Reuters reported, citing JD.com's official microblog. Alibaba has denied accusations outlined in JD.com's letter to SAIC earlier this month, in the run-up to 11 November 'Singles' Day' promotions, the biggest online shopping day of the year in China.
