Chinese brands to account for 50% of Mexico smartphone sales

Chinese brands will represent nearly half of total smartphone sales in the Mexican market this year, CNNExpansion reports, citing a report by tech consultancy IDC. Some of the firm with presence in the local market are Lenovo, Huawei and OPPO. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is currently offering its smartphones in the Mexican market and other Latin American countries through its website.
