Chinese govt completes Ugandan village satellite TV project

The Chinese government has completed a project to provide more than 500 villages in Uganda with access to digital television, reports the Daily Monitor. The Access to Satellite TV for 10,000 African Villages scheme is among ten major programmes supported by China. Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga said the project is important given that it gives Ugandans access to information.
