Chorus set to launch Hyperfibre service at 10 Gbps with XGS-PON network

New Zealand's Chorus unveiled Hyperfibre, its next generation of fibre technology. Using a XGS-PON fibre platform, Hyperfibre is set to dramatically increase capacity and deliver speeds on the Chorus fibre network of up to 10 Gbps, the company says. Chorus plans to initially launch Hyperfibre symmetric speeds of 2Gbps and 4Gbps, while an 8Gbps service will be released later on.
