Cisco, Barcelona Supercomputing Center sign cooperation deal

Cisco and Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) have signed a strategic partnership agreement to strengthen their existing collaboration by sharing knowledge, synergies and technical and human resources. The partners have previously worked together in next-generation technology areas, including the Internet of Things, Fog Computing, Smart Cities and data centre computing platforms. Cisco and BSC-CNS last year ran a full-scale fog computing proof of concept with a view to dramatically reducing the complexity, costs, operations and the time required for deploying smart city solutions
