Cisco enhances connected factory portfolio

Cisco has announced a number of enhancements to its connected factory portfolio at the Hannover Messe trade show. New offerings include Connected Asset Manager (CAM) for IoT Intelligence, described as a visualisation tool that extracts data from a variety of sources and ties together multiple existing data threads from legacy systems. Customers simply need to drag and drop data in a simple interface to view the corresponding reports. The company also launched Industrial Network Director, designed to give factories full control of the plant network, and upgraded the IE4000 switch family to
