Cisco forms smart city transport consortium in France

Cisco announced at the inauguration of its first innovation centre in France the creation of the So Mobility consortium to test smart city transport solutions in the French suburb of Issy-les-Moulineaux, the site of its French headquarters. The founding members of the consortium are Caisse des Depots, Bouygues Immobilier, Engie, Transdev, Colas and the city government. The group will focus on improving road traffic, city-wide parking and new modes of transport in an effort to make a lasting impact for how people get around their city by 2020.
