Cisco introduces 'Girls Power Tech' ICT initiative

Cisco has announced the launch of a global mentoring initiative called 'Girls Power Tech' to encourage girls and young women in over 50 countries to follow ICT career paths. The project is designed to complement the United Nations' 'Girls in ICT Day', this year taking place on 23 April, an annual day of activities organised by the International Telecommunications Union aimed at improving the understanding of careers in ICT among girls. As part of Cisco's initiative, girls aged 13-18 will be invited to participate in mentoring opportunities with company employees, experience Cisco technologies
