Cisco routers and carrier Ethernet share drops to 41% in Q2

Cisco's share of the service provider routing and carrier Ethernet market dropped to an all-time low of 41 percent in the second quarter, around 4 percent less than a year ago, according to data from Synergy Research Group. Although Cisco remained the dominant vendor in the market and continued to do well in the Ethernet services edge segment, its share was hit particularly hard in the core router and multi-services edge segments.
