Cisco sees wireless STB shipments at over 5 million by May

Cisco said it expects to reach over 5.5 million shipments of its Video-Optimized Wireless Set-top Boxes (VoWs) in May, up from 4 million in January. The company is showing the STB at the NCTA's Cable Show in the US. In addition, the company will demonstrate new Docsis and optical networking capabilities and its latest software-defined networking and virtualization technologies, as part of the Cisco Evolved Services Platform.
