Cisco selected as official supplier of Rio Olympics 2016

Cisco has been chosen by the Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio 2016 as an official provider of the IT infrastructure, reports Baguete. The manufacturer will provide the network and server equipment that will form the basis of the network for the 2016 Olympics. The network will be developed along with other partners of the IOC and Rio 2016. As part of the agreement, Cisco will provide all wired LANs and wireless IP routers as well as the necessary equipment for security, data center and management systems.
