CITC plans mobile tower ownership sharing or acquisitions

The Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has announced its intention to enhance the regulatory environment for mobile communications towers, Saudi Press Agency reported. This will be done by raising the participation rate of service providers via tower ownership mergers, or their acquisition by interested investors. According to the CITC, the aim is to reduce the capital and operational costs of towers and maximise their efficiency.
