City of Johannesburg to invest ZAR 40 mln in free Wi-Fi

The City of Johannesburg (COJ) administration says it has allocated ZAR 40 million for the 2020/21 financial year to expand access to free Wi-Fi, ITWeb reported. The COJ presented its 2020/21 to 2022/23 medium-term budget to expand access to free Wi-Fi. The total allocation for the three-year budget is ZAR 120 million, says city spokesperson Nthatisi Madigan.
